Welcome to the Chinese Proficiency Lab (CPL)
This site is dedicated to the advancement of Chinese language proficiency through exposure to authentic, ILR-aligned materials across listening, reading, and speaking domains. Designed with care by a seasoned Chinese language educator, CPL supports motivated learners and instructors on their journey toward advanced communication skills. It also supports DLPT5 / DLPT V preparation, DLPT listening, Mandarin Chinese reading practices, and ACTFL/OPI speaking development.
Each passage—whether a scientific report, a public speech, or a cultural portrait—is carefully selected to reflect the linguistic range and real-world themes learners may encounter on the DLPT or in professional contexts. Tasks are crafted to enhance both comprehension and cultural insight.
